About Vicky Edmonds

Dr Vicky Edmonds is the Chief Executive Officer of EVA England and one of the UK’s most experienced leaders in transport decarbonisation and EV policy. With nearly two decades in senior government and advisory roles, she has shaped many of the UK’s most significant EV and net‑zero milestones.

As former Head of the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV/OZEV), Vicky led the development of the UK’s 2030 phase‑out of new petrol and diesel cars, oversaw major charging infrastructure programmes including the Ā£950m Rapid Charging Fund, and played a central role in delivering the Automated and Electric Vehicles Act 2018.

Her career spans senior positions at the Department for Transport, HM Treasury, and the Energy Systems Catapult, where she worked across low‑carbon fuels, energy systems innovation, environment strategy, and the wider transition to net‑zero transport.

A long‑standing EV driver herself, Vicky brings both policy expertise and real‑world driver insight to her leadership at EVA England, championing a fair, evidence‑based transition that reflects the needs and experiences of EV drivers across the country.
