Who We Are
the EV Groups Nexus is a nonâprofit platform dedicated to supporting electric vehicle (EV) clubs, associations, and grassroots partners across the UK, Ireland, and Europe. Our website address is: https://evgroups.org.
In January 2026, we plan to register as an official Community Interest Company (CIC). This step reflects our ongoing mission to serve the wider EV community and our partners through activities that are firmly notâforâprofit, ensuring that all benefits are reinvested into supporting clubs, events, and the growth of sustainable transport.

We collect:
- Event data, RSVPs, and user registration information.
- Vehicle details (make, model, registration, colour, etc.) for insurance, public liability, and competition logging.
- Optional club affiliations and EVA membership details.
- Metadata from integrations (LinkedIn, Eventbrite, Google Calendar).
- Standard WordPress data such as comments, cookies, and login information.
When you upload images, please avoid including embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors may download and extract location data from uploaded images.

Our Commitment to Privacy
We will never sell your data. Ever.
We will also never share your personal or private information with thirdâparty partners unless you have explicitly registered an interest in hearing from them.
Outreach will only occur when you have shown a clear interest in our organisation or activities â for example, by registering for or participating in a past event, engaging with us directly on social media, or expressing interest in sponsorship, partnership, or speaking opportunities. We do not engage in coldâcalling, mass marketing, or unsolicited contact.
You will only receive communications directly related to events youâve registered for, or if you have opted in to receive updates about future events. You will never receive spam, popâups, or intrusive advertising. Sponsors and partners may be acknowledged on event pages, but never via commercial ad networks such as Google Ads or AdChoices.
Ticketing, Donations, and Payments
For paid events, ticket purchases, donations, and merchandise sales are processed securely through trusted thirdâparty merchant services such as Stripe, Square, PayPal, and WooCommerce.
the EV Groups Nexus does not store or process payment card details directly. All transactions are handled by these providers under their own secure systems and privacy policies.
Donations are used solely to support our nonâprofit mission, including event organisation, insurance, and community outreach. We will never use donation data for marketing or share donor details with third parties without explicit consent.

This information is used only for relevant outreach â such as event organisation, sponsorship, or speaking opportunities â and only when the individual has shown interest in Nexus or participated in a past event.
We will never scrape, sell, or misuse social media data. Our goal is to make EV events more visible and accessible to the community, while respecting the privacy of all participants.
