RSVP for your spot at the iconic Ace Café from 6pm-8pm 20th of November.
We will have a great time, and show Ace Café that we can and will show up and make it the success they intended when they started the EV evenings.
Thursday 20th November 2025 | 6–9pm
The Ace Café has always been the place to see the latest cars and bikes. From its cutting‑edge opening in 1938, through the Rockers and Café Racer era, to hosting the launch of the UK’s Go Ultra Low campaign in 2014 and installing one of London’s first business‑hosted EV chargepoints — the Ace has always been ahead of the curve.
Now, every 3rd Thursday of the month, the Ace is opening its doors for EV Owners Night — a relaxed evening meet for drivers, riders, and anyone curious about electric vehicles. And this November, it’s extra special: the official launch of the London EVs Club! 🎉
The Ace Café has been hit hard by the expansion of London’s ULEZ, with many classic car and diesel van nights disappearing almost overnight. Mark Wilsmore, who has kept the Ace alive for decades, has been open about how much trade has been lost.
Mark himself recognises the pollution issue but feels government policy is inconsistent and leaves venues like the Ace stranded.
The Ace wants to diversify. They’ve tried to host new groups (including EVs, electric scooters, etc.), but bureaucracy and perception issues have blocked some attempts – they are all very supportive of EV Drivers at the Ace, and we truly believe that supporting this great venue is important.
That’s why our support matters. By showing up as EV drivers, we can help tip the scales — proving that the Ace still has a thriving future by embracing the next generation of motoring. Every RSVP, every EV on the forecourt, strengthens the case for new investment, including the possibility of reinstating or upgrading the Ace’s historic chargepoint with modern 22kW AC or DC chargers.
And it’s not just about one night. Repeat visits are vital. The more consistently we fill the forecourt on these monthly EV Owners Nights, the stronger the message to the Ace’s management and stakeholders: EVs can keep this venue alive, relevant, and thriving for years to come.
This isn’t just another meet‑up. It’s a chance to stand with the Ace Café at a turning point, to keep its legacy alive, and to show that EVs are part of its story going forward.
The Ace’s original chargepoint (installed in 2014) has sadly gone offline, but conversations are already underway about reviving it — or even replacing it with something better. By turning up and showing support, we strengthen the case for new infrastructure and new partnerships at this iconic venue.
Even in the colder months, having a warm, iconic place to gather is valuable. This is about community, conversation, and keeping the Ace’s EV story alive.
Please RSVP below for yourself and your guests so we can show Ace Café the numbers and help make it worthwhile for them to keep staffing EV Nights. Your support — not just once, but month after month — helps keep these evenings alive and ensures EVs remain part of the Ace’s living legacy.
